Take Time To Rest!

Hello!  Hello!  Hello!  Like many of you I am wondering why time moves so very quickly.  We celebrated my Grandson's fifth birthday!  Two glorious days at LEGOLAND was where he chose to celebrate.  Seems like he hasn't been on earth for five glorious years. And now he is old enough to sit in my workshop and pretend to be me.

Yes, I know I am also moving slower since my 65th birthday a few months ago. Most times I am retracing my steps to find something that was never lost.  Or, repeating a conversation that was already told.  "Did I tell you this already?" takes up more time than you can imagine.  LOL.

Halloween is celebrated today by many, but my house will be dark to deter the trick or treaters.  Tomorrow is the beginning of National Diabetes Month and as a diabetic, I decided this year not to eat leftover snicker bars, baby ruths, chocolate bars, suckers.....They are all soooo delicious especially the sweet ones below.  Just one of my weaknesses.
Love these!

October is Breast Cancer month, therefore I took time to talk to survivers like me and the newly diagnosed. I wrote letters for "Girls Love Mail" for encouragement.  Please take a look at the website www.girlslovemail.com if you want to hand write encouraging letters too.  As a 14 year survivor, ladies I ask that you please take time to do your self exams and schedule your mammograms when due.

In my spare time I experimented with minis to create some new designs, organized my workshop,  purchased new fabric and caught up on some blog reading. I also took some time to rest.
Minis I've created.

"Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done." Genesis 2:3 NIV

Thank you for stopping by to read this post without a give-a-way in progress.  Thank you for following.

Hugs, Love, Kisses and Prayers to all!
Felma

Dear Felma
Great to see you posting again.
Congratulations for your grandson's
5th birthday! It's one of life's best gifts to be able to spend time with our grandchildren and watch them growing up.
Your work, as usual, is stunning. A lovely collection of super elegant robes.
Keep well. A big hug, Drora

We all need some rest every now and then!
Halloween is quite new to Sweden, I don't celebrate it, we celebrate all saints day instead. We light candles for our loved ones that has passed away, and the whole graveyard is full of light, it's very beautiful! So I've had a peaceful weekend thinking of the loved ones I miss.
Your dresses are wonderful!!!

Hello Felma
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. I cannot wait to see the beautiful coat that you make. You are so artistic. I love the red dress and the red dress with matching long coat. So Lovely!!
I understand how you feel about the candy. It is hard. You have very good will-power to say 'NO' to that candy with all of the holidays with being tempted. I know how that feels. Keep up the good work. It touches my heart that you are a 14 year survivor!!
Mini smiles, Conny
