Gorgeous?  Maybe subconsciously I was thinking about a Christmas in July miracle.  Mannequin is an adult collectible, stands five inches tall.  Signed by me.

I was going to close my Blog due to new health issues that were discovered when I visited my doctor on Tuesday.  I told my doctor that I am tired of fighting and wants to just give up because I have prayed and prayed for healing and instead of getting better I am getting worse.  My doctor got right in my face almost nose to nose and shouted, "Fight!  God is not ready for you yet."  He also said other encouraging words for me to think about.  So, afterwards, I felt much better and decided to finish the July give away and post instead of close.  God is good!

Wedding Dress For June Give Away!

My prayer is that all of you will enjoy a great summer.  So many awful things are happening all around the world, but God is great.  I am enjoying my mini world.  My miniatures are a Blessing for meditating on the good things in life.  

Also, having my six year old grandson visit during

 the summer gives me great joy.  Today we went to practice his golf swing and he is really quite good just like his mother (my favorite daughter).  It was a beautiful day and I had my three year old practicing too.  He will be good real soon.  Afterwards, we played with their miniatures and my miniatures.

Joyce Bernard Miniatures Featured! April Give A Way!

My dear friend Joyce Bernard, also known as "THE TRUNK LADY" for her Themed Trunks is now selling her one of a kind trunks and other signature miniatures on Etsy.  Please take a look.

When I first met Joyce years ago at a Miniature Club I was hungry for information and struggling to find my way in a hobby that I had fallen in love with.  The club was designing a wired Building.  I was so lost because I joined the club just after the wiring project.  Joyce sensed my distress and offered to come to my home the next week and teach me all about wiring. 

This is not the building we wired.  

The beginning of our long term relationship began on that day and although Joyce moved to another state a few years ago our friendship remains the same.   

Joyce and I met at least once a week and worked on miniatures.  She was usually the teacher and I the student.  When Joyce sold my miniature drapes at a show in Northern California, it was the beginning of the excitement I feel when I sell on eBay and the thrill I get when someone comments and wins one of my give aways.

When it finally hit me that God had blessed me with one of the finest teachers of miniatures, I happily soaked up all the information that Joyce freely shared with me.  She never told me how sought after she was for her trunks.  I found out on my own.  Sort of like when you discover the Holy Spirit.  It is there for you to tap into it's power.  You just have to find out about it and when you do, you just want to soak up all the information that you can so that when you are faced with road blocks in your life, help is there for you based on what you have learned.  Amazing.

Hats, purses, dresses, underwear, trunks and you name it, Joyce and I made it in mini.  Those were the good old days.

These trunks are the best in the world.  Although she makes most items in her filled trunks, she has searched world wide to locate the finest leather and fabrics.  She also sells unfilled trunks.

Yes, Joyce taught me how to make these too!

This past Easter weekend was one of the best in my life.  Celebrated with my Favorite Daughter and her family and my grandsons were thrilled to come home with Grandma.  We are celebrating my birthday this week along with 13 years of surviving.  God is good.

These Blood Clots Are Annoying! Will I Live Or Kick The Bucket? God Knows!

February 2013 Give A Way

Special thanks to all of you  for sending your messages of concern regarding my long absence.  Thank you to old and new followers for your support in reading my blog and leaving comments.  I am grateful.

Blood Clots were on the loose in my leg a few days after this picture was taken in my Brother's driveway.  Cute car.

 My sister-in law passed away.  My trip to honor her journey to heaven took three hours by air and three hours by car to my brother's home in the beautiful small country town where I grew up.  I had the opportunity reunite with family and friends that I had not seen for decades. 

The pain in my calf was awesome!  I self-diagnosed  using GOOGLE.  But, please don't try this at home.  LOL.  In the emergency room, I told the doctor,   "I have a DVT (deep vein thrombosis)."  He asked me, "How do you know you have a blood  clot, young lady?"  I proceeded to tell him "My Clot Story"  from 10 years ago.  I was immediately sent for CT scan and the little critters showed up. 

"Will the clots cause me to kick the bucket?"  I actually have a 10 year old "umbrella" in my vein to block the clots from the most important places they like to go like the heart, lungs and brain.  Maybe it still works and maybe it doesn't.  Google: "economy class syndrome" (ECS).  The information may help you and others during your travels. 

Sitting here writing my blog post and feeling great!  Mostly because my grandsons spent the weekend with me and we had soooo much fun.  And that I am making a connection with you.  And that my husband gave me a new Mercedes-Benz to help ease my pain.  Yes, it did help.  And that God may be giving me another chance to enjoy my life here on earth helping others.  

My favorite daughter knows how much I care about my Blog Friends, and she will post to let you know if I kick the bucket.
