Thank you for your wonderful prayers. |
Did I think about God after this news? No! I freaked out! I freaked out because for 13 years I've fought with all my heart, mind, soul and body and welcomed any news that was afflicting to show that I could keep my head up, keep the faith and fight cancer! Tons of pain resulting from a teeny weeny cancer. Every joint, ligament, muscle and everything else in my body has enjoyed it's months and years in the spotlight of pain. Now it is oveerrrrr! I need to get back to my miniatures.

God. Thank you very much.
Thank you too for your prayers. You know that Satan or better known as the 'Devil' will try to keep us very busy to make us do some crazy things. Such as thinking about closing a Blog that really makes me happy, or pouring my heart out to you to join my pity party. Or clouding my Spirit so I couldn't see God when the storms of life were raging last week. I'm so happy that I had the sense to come to my senses.
Someone cleaver even came up with this:
B U S Y stands for Being Under Satan's Yoke
Well, according to my favorite daughter and son, the mother and father of my favorite grandsons, I really need to go back and read my own Blog posts which are meant to be very encouraging and a great testimony of my faith in what God has done for me including life changing Miracles. They told me to start with my "About Me" page. I did. I couldn't believe it was me writing about how I started my Blog with my "Journey to come out of the closet and celebrate life after breast cancer." Somewhere along my journey I guess I got a little BUSY!
He replied, "Because you have so little faith, I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 NIV Please click on the link and read the entire context of this Scripture. It may help refresh your memory too if you are getting a little busy.
One of my favorite Scriptures: I have hidden your word in my heart so that I may not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 Niv Somewhere along my journey when I was a little BUSY maybe Satan gave one of his little helpers an eraser because how could I ever forget this Scripture that has helped sustain me since my awful bout with cancer: They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31. OK, so I felt a little faint. Forgive me. I guess that is why my favorite daughter and son gave me the shirt I have on in the picture that reads, "Forgiven." None of us are free from sin, but we must know why Jesus died on the cross to pay our sin debt in full. All we have to do is pray and not let the devil in to steal our joy.
Today's verse of the day on Bible Gateway's website gives this example of faith in action:
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 NIV
Today after starting this post I received my doctor's report (my husband went and got it): Tests, including X-Rays are all within the normal range! Further testing will be scheduled. Thank you Lord God! Oh sure, I still have pain and I am ready and looking forward to what God has in store for me. No matter what. I still believe in Miracles.
August Give Away is early, but my heart is full and I need to give something away and I am not fishing for comments. I love comments but my fishing days are over.
Speaking of fishing; My six year old grandson went fishing for the first time. He hooked a foot long bass. Child against fish! He finally brought the fish in and landed it on the ground and when the fish started flapping about my grandson took off running like crazy. Although he knows God, I think he freaked out. But, when he had time to think about God and faith, the fishermen were able to coax him back to take a picture. What the heck. My grandson, a born vegeterian, probably insisted on sending the fish back to where it came from. Oh my goodness! A new lesson; Next time pain scares me into running like crazy I am going to send it back where it came from too. Hallelujah!
I want to thank all of you for joining and following my blog. Welcome to all new followers.

This little grandson with Grandma's sunglasses on insists on taking the easy ride and doesn't want to go down to the lake to fish. The only bear he wants to see is in his lap.
